M.PHARM TO IAS                                                              வறுமை என்னை ஜெயிக்கக் கூடாதுனு தீர்க்கமா இருந்தேன்!' - தமிழ் ஸ்பெஷல் ஐ.ஏ.எஸ் மணிகண்டன்
ஐ.ஏ.எஸ் ஆக வேண்டும் என்கிற எண்ணமே ஒரு சிலருக்குத்தான் தோன்றும். 'நம்மால் எங்கே ஐ.ஏ.எஸ் ஆக முடியும்'  என்கிற நினைப்பே பலரையும் அந்த பக்கமே திரும்ப வைக்காது. பள்ளிப்பருவத்தில் இருந்தே மனதிற்குள் ஐ.ஏ.எஸ் கனவில் இருப்பவர்களால் மட்டுமே எத்தகைய கடினமான தேர்வுகளையும் எதிர்கொண்டு ஐ.ஏ.எஸ் ஆக முடியும். ஆளுமைத்திறனோடு மாவட்டத்தையும் மாநிலத்தையும் நிர்வகிக்க முடியும். சிவில் சர்வீஸ் தேர்வில் அகில இந்திய அளவில் 332-வது ரேங்க் பெற்றுள்ள மணிகண்டனும் அந்த ரகம்தான்.

மணிகண்டன்கடலூர் மாவட்டம், நெய்வேலி, அருகேயுள்ள வடக்கு மேலூர் இவரது சொந்த ஊர். தந்தை ஆறுமுகம் நிலக்கரிச் சுரங்கத்தில் ஒப்பந்தத் தொழிலாளியாக வேலை பார்த்தார். உடல்நலம் பாதிக்கப்பட்டு பணிக்கு செல்ல முடியாமல் வீட்டுக்குள் முடங்கினார். தாயார் வள்ளி கூலித் தொழிலாளி. பள்ளி விடுமுறை நாட்களில் மணிகண்டனும் தாயுடன் சுலி வேலைக்குச் செல்வார். வறுமை காரணமாக தங்கை சத்யாவின் படிப்பு பத்தாம் வகுப்புடன் நின்றது. வானம் பார்த்த பூமியில்... கூரை வேய்ந்த வீடு. மணிகண்டனின் பரிதாபம் நிறைந்த பின்னணி இது. பள்ளிப்படிப்பை முடிக்கவே தகிடுதத்தம் போடும் நிலைமை. அடுத்து பி.பார்ம் பின்னர் எம்.பார்ம் படித்தார். பகுதி நேர வேலை மணிகண்டனின் படிப்புக்கும் உதவியாக இருந்தது.
பின்னர், மருந்து ஆய்வாளராக பணியைத் தொடங்கினாலும் ஐ.ஏ.எஸ்-தான் மணிகண்டனின் கனவு. அதற்காக சென்னையில் தங்கித் தன்னைப் பட்டைத் தீட்டினார். வறுமை வாட்டினாலும் விடாமுயற்சி இருந்தது. ஐ.ஏ.எஸ் மட்டுமே மணிகண்டனின் இலக்கு அல்ல. தமிழிலேயே தேர்வு எழுதி தமிழிலேயே நேர்முகத் தேர்வையும் எதிர்கொள்வதுதான் அவரது லட்சியம். அதற்கேற்ப அவர் தன்னைத் தயார்படுத்தினார். சென்னையில்  நல்ல நண்பர்கள் கிடைத்தனர்.
வருமானவரித்துறை அதிகாரிகள் பாஸ்கரன் கிருஷ்ணமுர்த்தி, சாரங்கி, விவேகானந்தன் ஆகியோர் மணிகண்டனின் துடிப்பறிந்து பக்கபலமாக இருந்தனர். அதனால், எந்த பயிற்சி மையத்திலும் சேர வேண்டிய அவசியம் மணிகண்டனுக்கு ஏற்படவில்லை. நண்பர்கள் உதவியுடன் தானே முயற்சித்து படித்தார். ஐ.ஏ.எஸ் இலவசப் பயிற்சி அளிக்கப்படும் இடங்களில் மணிகண்டன் தவறாமல் ஆஜராகி விடுவார். அப்படித்தான் ஐ.ஏ.எஸ் தேர்வுக்குத் தன்னைத் தயார்படுத்தினார்.
கடந்த 2011ம் ஆண்டு முதன்முறையாக பப்ளிக் சர்வீஸ் தேர்வு எழுதினார். தோல்விதான் மிஞ்சியது. அடுத்தடுத்த ஆண்டுகளில் இரு முயற்சிகள். அதிலும் தோல்வி. அந்த சமயத்தில்தான் அவரது தமிழாசிரியர் முத்துசாமி கைகொடுத்தார். அவர் அளித்த ஊக்கமும் ஆக்கமும் மணிகண்டன் ஐஏஎஸ் கனவு எட்ட உதவியாக அமைந்தது. கடந்த 2016ம் ஆண்டு ஐ.ஏ.எஸ் தேர்வை தமிழிலேயே எழுதி தமிழிலேயே நேர்முகத் எதிர் கொண்டு வெற்றியும் பெற்றுள்ளார். தேசிய அளவில் 332 ரேங்கும் பிடித்துள்ளார். இனி முசோரியில் பயிற்சி.

வறுமையைத் தோற்கடித்து ஐ.ஏ.எஸ் ஆன மணிகண்டன், ''எனது படிப்பில்தான் எனது வாழ்க்கையும் குடும்பத்தினரின் வாழ்க்கையும் அடங்கியிருக்கிறது. நான் படிக்க வேண்டுமென்பதற்காக எனது தங்கை தனது படிப்பைத் தியாகம் செய்தார். எந்த காரணத்தாலும் வறுமை என்னை வென்றுவிடக்கூடாது என்பதில் தீர்க்கமாக இருந்தேன். அதேவேளையில், எனது கனவை நனவாக்க நல்ல நண்பர்களின் உதவியும் தக்க நேரத்தில் கிடைத்தது. நண்பர்கள் அளித்த ஆலோசனையும் உதவியும் என்னைத் தேர்வை சிறப்பான முறையில் எதிர்கொள்ளவைத்தது.
எதைக் கண்டும் பயப்படாமல் விடாமுயற்சியுடன் போராடினால் வெற்றி நிச்சயம். நம் மீது நாம் வைக்கும் நம்பிக்கையும் மிக அவசியம். இப்போது, தாய் மொழியிலேயே ஐ.ஏ.எஸ் தேர்வை எழுதி வெற்றி பெற்றும் இருக்கிறேன். பயிற்சிக்கு செல்ல மூன்று மாதங்கள் இருக்கிறது. அதற்குள் பல கல்லூரிகளுக்கு சென்று மாணவர்களுக்கு தாய் மொழியில் படித்து ஐ.ஏ.எஸ் ஆவது குறித்து பயிற்சி அளிக்கப் போகிறேன்'' என்கிறார்.

மணிகண்டன் ஐ.ஏ.எஸ் ஆக உதவியாக இருந்த பாஸ்கரன் கிருஷ்ணமூர்த்தியிடம் பேசினோம். ''மணிகண்டன் வீட்டில் முதல் பட்டதாரி. பகுதி நேர வேலை பார்த்துக்கொண்டே படித்தார். பல பயிற்சி மையங்களுக்கு சென்று வகுப்பும் எடுத்து வந்தார். தமிழில் தேர்வு எழுதி ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் 30 முதல் 40 பேர் வரை ஐ.ஏ.எஸ் மெயின் தேர்வில் தேர்ச்சி பெறுவார்கள். இந்த ஆண்டு 4 பேர்தான் தேர்ச்சி பெற்றிருக்கின்றனர் என்பதே அதிர்ச்சியாக இருக்கிறது. தமிழில் தேர்வு எழுதியவர்களுக்கு மதிப்பெண்கள் குறைவாகவே வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. இல்லையென்றால் மணிகண்டன் அகில இந்திய அளவில் முதல் 100 இடங்களுக்குள் வந்திருப்பார்'' என்றார்.

We are looking for competent personnel to be an integral part of our team for Formulations & API manufacturing plants at Panelav & Karakhadi, near Vadodara (Gujarat)

1. Executive/ Sr. Executive - Manufacturing (General Solid Orals)
Candidates should be M.Pharm/ B.Pharm/ M.Sc with 2 to 7 years of experience in working with general solid orals manufacturing facility. With experience on process equipment like granulation, compression, coating, capsules. Knowledge and experience with documentation like BMR, BPR, SOPs, & other documents involved in machine qualification is necessary. Experience of working in a facility catering to regulated market will be beneficial. Knowledge of cGMP and SAP is essential.
2. Executive/ Sr. Executive - Packing (General Solid Orals)
Candidates should be M.Pharm/ B.Pharm/ M.Sc with 2 to 7 years of experience in working with general solid orals manufacturing facility, having working experience on process equipment like blister packing, bottle line, primary and secondary packaging activities, Batch Packaging Record.
3. Executive/ Sr. Executive - QC/ QA (API & Formulations)
Candidates should be M.Pharm/ B.Pharm/ M.Sc for QC/ QA with 2 to 7 years of relevant experience in API/ Formulations of general solid orals from the manufacturing site catering to regulated markets. Responsibility includes operation and documentation of chromatography & spectroscopy instruments, wet chemistry analysis for RM, intermediates & finished products. Exposure to regulatory inspections and customer audits. Experience of documentation submission for US, EU regulatory agencies. Working knowledge of analytical instrumentation related software & database.
4. Technicians/ Plant Operators - (General Solid Orals)
Candidates should be ITI / HSC/ Diploma with 2 to 9 years experience of operating machines like Capsule filling, Compression, Coating, BQS Blister Packing, Bulk Packing, Bottle Packing, FBD, RMG, etc.
5. Production (Injectable)
Diploma in Engineering / Pharmacy / ITI with 2 to 9 years of experience in manufacturing / filling / Inspection / Packaging of sterile formulations like Vials, PFS, Ophthalmic and Lyophilizer. Hands on experience in Solution Preparation, Operation of Vial washer, Filler, Capper, Autoclave, Lyophilizer, Automatic inspection, Leak testing and Packaging machineries.
6. Maintenance - (Injectable)
